Foundation Year
Build the academic, digital and professional foundations for degree-level study through Academic and Study Skills, Data and Digital Skills, Personal and Professional Development Skills for Law, Foundations of Law and International Relations.
Year 1
Develop your knowledge through Sustainable Business in the Contemporary Environment, Academic and Professional Skills, Economics for Business, Business Finance.
Year 2
Develop your knowledge through Managing Human Resources, Fundamentals of Law, Law of Obligations, Law of Business Organisations, Sustainability in Career Development.
Year 3
Develop your knowledge through Commercial Law, Executing Business Strategy, Law of International Trade, Undergraduate Major Project (Leadership in Practice).
Study pattern
Standard full-time delivery is on campus two days a week, Monday to Friday, usually between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Exact teaching days are confirmed by the university.

Assessment
Practical ways to show what you know.
Assessment develops legal knowledge, analysis and argument through coursework, legal problem-solving, case analysis, presentations and independent research.
Formative feedback supports development before graded assessment, while the final-year dissertation or major project demonstrates sustained research and critical evaluation.
Practical legal and transferable skills are developed through debate, peer analysis, structured written work and the application of law to realistic scenarios.
Entry requirements

Foundation Year entry
- Five GCSEs at grade 3/D or above, including English and Mathematics, are normally required.
- Applicants should normally provide evidence of two years of post-GCSE study at Level 3.
- Applicants with at least grade E in one A level, or an equivalent qualification, are exempt from the two-year post-GCSE study requirement but must still meet the GCSE requirements.
- Applications are considered individually, including relevant work experience and personal circumstances.
English language
- IELTS 6.0 Academic or an accepted equivalent English-language qualification is normally required when English is not your first language.
- GCSE English at grade 4/C or above is required for direct entry; the foundation route normally requires grade 3/D or above.
International qualifications
International applicants may be considered through recognised A levels, an International Baccalaureate with at least 24 points, a recognised university foundation programme or relevant country-specific qualifications.
