Course overview
This course explores how marketing contributes to organisational performance while building an understanding of finance, economics, people management, law and strategy. Students develop specialist capability in branding, consumer behaviour, communications and digital marketing through career-focused assignments.
Foundation pathway
The Foundation Year develops data, research, communication and professional skills before automatic progression to Year 1 after successful completion.
Teaching and support
Students receive support from a personal tutor and use lectures, seminars, workshops, case work, simulations and guided independent study to connect theory with professional practice.
Published non-standard delivery is Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 18:00 to 21:00 plus Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00.
Professional recognition
The programme is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

Foundation Year entry
- A minimum of 40 UCAS Tariff points is required for Foundation Year entry.
- Applicants normally need GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C/4 or accepted equivalents.
- Applicants returning after five years away from study, and non-standard or mature applicants, may be required to complete an academic interview.
English language
- IELTS 6.0 with no component below 5.5, or an accepted equivalent English-language qualification.
Alternative entry
Relevant non-standard qualifications, professional development and recent work experience can be considered individually; an academic interview may be required.
