Develop practical and managerial expertise across construction technology, site practice, estimating, procurement, law, sustainability and project delivery, beginning with an integrated Foundation Year.
Foundation Year
Develop the academic, employability and digital skills needed for higher education while being introduced to building design, building science, construction management and professional development.
Year One
Build core knowledge of construction methods, materials, technology, estimating, health and safety, innovation and sustainability. Practical coursework develops your ability to interpret information and communicate informed decisions.
Year Two
Apply construction management principles within legal, financial, procurement and professional frameworks. Collaborative work, research and an applied industry project connect the curriculum with current practice.
Year Three
Examine advanced project management, dispute resolution, site practice and modern construction methods in local, national and international contexts, then demonstrate your expertise through a substantial industry project.

Assessment
Practical ways to show what you know.
Assessment is designed to demonstrate the knowledge, practical skills and professional competences used in construction management.
Methods can include portfolios, essays, reports, online multiple-choice tests, real-life simulations, group work, poster presentations, individual and group projects and presentations.
Independent research, homework and group work form an important part of the programme. Assessment methods are reviewed regularly with external academic oversight.
Entry requirements

Applicants aged 18+
- A Level 3 qualification equivalent to 60 credits or 80 UCAS tariff points.
- GCSE English and Mathematics grade 4/C are normally required; CEFR B1 may be accepted for English.
- An admissions interview assesses listening and speaking, while a numeracy test and personal reflection statement assess mathematics and writing.
Applicants aged 21+
Applicants without the standard qualifications may be considered if their commitment and related academic, professional or vocational experience demonstrate readiness for the course.

- Complete the application form.
- Provide supporting documents when requested.
- Attend the panel interview, complete the numeracy test and submit the supervised personal reflection statement.
- The course provider makes the final admissions decision.

Funding your study
Eligible students may be able to apply for a UK Government Tuition Fee Loan to cover course fees.
A Maintenance Loan may also be available to help with living costs while studying. Eligibility depends on personal circumstances, the course and the provider.
