Foundation Year
Build the academic, digital and professional foundations for degree-level study through Academic and Study Skills, Data and Digital Skills, Personal and Professional Development in Health and Social Care, Foundations of Healthcare.
Year 1
Develop your knowledge through Academic and Professional Skills, The Health and Social Care Environment, Managing Quality in Health and Social Care, Business Finance.
Year 2
Develop your knowledge through Managing Human Resources, Sustainability in Career Development, Principles of Health Informatics, Compassionate Leadership, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Healthcare.
Year 3
Develop your knowledge through Executing Business Strategy, Managing Change in Healthcare Settings, Contemporary Issues in Healthcare, Undergraduate Major Project (Healthcare).
Study pattern
Standard full-time delivery is on campus two days a week, Monday to Friday, usually between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Exact teaching days are confirmed by the university.

Entry requirements

Foundation Year entry
- Five GCSEs at grade 3/D or above, including English and Mathematics, are normally required.
- Applicants should normally provide evidence of two years of post-GCSE study at Level 3.
- Applicants with at least grade E in one A level, or an equivalent qualification, are exempt from the two-year post-GCSE study requirement but must still meet the GCSE requirements.
- Applications are considered individually, including relevant work experience and personal circumstances.
English language
- IELTS 6.0 Academic or an accepted equivalent English-language qualification is normally required when English is not your first language.
- GCSE English at grade 4/C or above is required for direct entry; the foundation route normally requires grade 3/D or above.
International qualifications
International applicants may be considered through recognised A levels, an International Baccalaureate with at least 24 points, a recognised university foundation programme or relevant country-specific qualifications.
