Course overview
This two-semester pathway supports international students who do not yet meet direct degree entry, building the academic, English-language and subject knowledge needed to progress to a business degree.
Entry points and duration
Published duration: 2 semesters. Entry stage depends on prior qualifications and the chosen route.
Study pattern
Full-time teaching is normally scheduled between 9:00am and 5:30pm, with students typically on campus 2–3 days a week.

Teaching combines seminars, lectures, tutorials and workshops for approximately 15 taught hours per week.
Assessment includes coursework and examinations, supported by ongoing tutor feedback.
Successful completion provides progression to the first year of an eligible undergraduate business degree, subject to route requirements.

Academic entry
- Five GCSEs or iGCSEs with pass grades A–C, or accepted equivalents, are normally required.
- International qualifications are assessed against current country-specific equivalencies.
English language
- IELTS 5.5 with no individual element below 5.5, or IELTS 5.0 with no individual element below 4.5 and at least 5.0 in reading and listening.
International and non-standard entry
Equivalent international qualifications are considered against current country-specific requirements. Applicants with relevant professional experience but without standard qualifications may be considered individually where the course permits.
