Foundation Year
Build the academic, digital and professional foundations for degree-level study through Academic and Study Skills, Data and Digital Skills, Personal and Professional Development Skills for Accounting and Finance, Foundations of Accounting and Finance.
Year 1
Develop your knowledge through Academic and Professional Skills, Sustainable Business in the Contemporary Environment, Financial Markets and Institutions, Business Finance.
Year 2
Develop your knowledge through Managing Human Resources, Sustainability in Career Development, Entrepreneurial Finance, Principles and Practice of Marketing, Budgeting and Financial Risk Management.
Year 3
Develop your knowledge through Executing Business Strategy, Leadership and Change Management, Corporate Financial Management in the Digital Age, Undergraduate Major Project (Business and Financial Analysis).
Study pattern
Standard full-time delivery is on campus two days a week, Monday to Friday, usually between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Exact teaching days are confirmed by the university.

Assessment
Practical ways to show what you know.
Knowledge and understanding are assessed through assignments that can include written management reports, organisational or company analysis, presentations and practical responses to real-world issues.
Formative assessment and feedback are provided throughout the course to support academic development before graded work.
Most modules normally include at least two assessments. The final-year major project brings together research, critical analysis, concise academic argument and practical application.
Entry requirements

Foundation Year entry
- Five GCSEs at grade 3/D or above, including English and Mathematics, are normally required.
- Applicants should normally provide evidence of two years of post-GCSE study at Level 3.
- Applicants with at least grade E in one A level, or an equivalent qualification, are exempt from the two-year post-GCSE study requirement but must still meet the GCSE requirements.
- Applications are considered individually, including relevant work experience and personal circumstances.
English language
- IELTS 6.0 Academic or an accepted equivalent English-language qualification is normally required when English is not your first language.
- GCSE English at grade 4/C or above is required for direct entry; the foundation route normally requires grade 3/D or above.
International qualifications
International applicants may be considered through recognised A levels, an International Baccalaureate with at least 24 points, a recognised university foundation programme or relevant country-specific qualifications.
