Build your computing foundation before progressing to the full degree.
Begin with computing, mathematics, digital media, programming and collaborative project foundations before progressing through software development, databases, web technologies, networking, data science, user experience and a dissertation.
Foundation Year
Develop essential knowledge of computing, mathematics, digital media and programming while building academic, collaborative and employability skills for successful progression to the degree.
Year One
Study user experience, networking and security, programming, databases, data analysis and web technologies.
Year Two
Advance into database systems, object-oriented development, business intelligence, research methods, human-computer interaction and web application development.
Year Three
Complete contemporary web, UX and data-science study alongside an industrial consulting project and a 40-credit dissertation project.
Blended learning
Combine face-to-face campus teaching with live online sessions. Daytime and evening/weekend routes provide equivalent live contact hours, with the final pattern confirmed by the scheduling team.

Assessment uses coursework and examinations across the Foundation Year and degree modules.
Teaching typically includes 9–12 hours of lectures, seminars and workshops each week, alongside approximately 38 hours of independent study.
Foundation projects and practical labs develop problem-solving, teamwork, academic communication and technical confidence before degree-level study.

Academic requirements
- 48 UCAS tariff points.
- A minimum of two completed A-levels, a BTEC Extended Diploma at PPP, a BTEC Diploma at MP, or an equivalent qualification.
- Mature applicants without recent formal study may be considered through relevant workplace or voluntary experience that demonstrates the ability to complete the course.
English language
- GCSE English grade 4/C or above.
- IELTS 5.5 with no component below 5.0, or an accepted equivalent. An alternative English assessment may be available.
- Certified translations may be requested where qualifications are not in English.
Interview
An admissions interview may explore your motivation for the course. An academic interview may assess readiness where standard requirements are not met or an applicant has been out of education for some time.
