Course overview
The course begins with academic, research, mooting and interviewing foundations before progressing through the English legal system, criminal, public, contract, tort, land, EU, equity and trusts law. Final-year study combines a dissertation with a choice of specialist legal options and preparation for professional practice.
Foundation route
The four-year route begins at Level 3. Successful completion of the Foundation Year supports progression into the three honours-degree stages at Levels 4, 5 and 6.

Academic and admissions requirements
- A minimum of two GCE A2-level passes, or an accepted equivalent qualification, in any subjects.
- Five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, or accepted equivalents, including English Language.
- An admissions interview and/or portfolio may be requested.
- Applicants with non-traditional qualifications, relevant experience or a suitable portfolio may be considered individually.
English language requirements
- IELTS 6.0 or an accepted Secure English Language Test equivalent is required where English is not the applicant's first language.
