Course overview
Designed for graduates with limited previous subject knowledge, this conversion-style Master's builds a strong foundation in modern computer science. Students develop Java and Python programming, database and web application skills, software-engineering practice and an understanding of systems security before completing a substantial independent project.
Teaching and support
This full-time programme is taught on campus through lectures, seminars, tutorials and laboratory sessions.
Students need access to a laptop or PC and receive face-to-face academic-development support from the Academic Community of Excellence Team.
Location and delivery
The programme is studied full-time over one year at the London City Campus. Detailed attendance times and the next available intake are to be confirmed by the provider.

Academic entry
- A minimum UK 2:2 honours degree in a subject other than computing, or an accepted equivalent qualification.
- Applications are considered individually against the current published requirements.
- The London programme is not currently able to sponsor applicants who require a Student visa.
English language
- IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in every component, or an accepted equivalent English-language test.
International applicant note
This London programme cannot currently sponsor international students who require a Student visa.
